i dont know how to tumbl, sorry
people keep reblogging stuff I’ve posted here so I guess I won’t delete them but all of it is embarassing and at least half also incorrect.
Liberalism remains. Nothing, no matter how canny, or brutal, or ideologically rigorous, has been enough to combat it. When Mao wrote Combat Liberalism, the most terrifying and total assault on the road to Capitalism was ahead, as was its nightmarish collapse. Whatever has become of China today,…

Emergency Management and Interoperability Tactics of the Police and a Guide to Police Violence:
Most police agencies undergo federally mandated emergency response training in order to receive federal funding for their various needs. I have gone through this training, and offer a very…
This is a narrow analysis of liberalism in response to a Formspring question. Because I am fundamentally incapable of writing short concise answers to things, this happened.
Please consider that this text by itself is useless. It alone will not be a solid foundation for change in the way you think. While the link to Combat Liberalism at the end is half-joking, marxists.org itself is an incredibly valuable resource of criticisms of capitalism, patriarchy and even the state. Please give it a look
Please leave comments at @CelestialBeard on twitter instead of here. Replying to things on Tumblr clutters up this thing and I would like to prevent that

Liberalism Is Wrong because key assumptions made from the liberal ideology are harmful, all the while pretending to the throne of The Most Progressive And Moral Thought.
Liberalism reduces the concept of liberty, that great banner under which entire peoples rallied, to freedom FROM things. A liberal may recognize that baleful social structures exist in our lives, but he will assume that a lack of “state tyranny” in enforcing sexism, racism or classicism will ultimately cause these things to go away. He thinks that by negative liberty alone, people are their own masters.
He is wrong. In leaving the victims of these aspects of (now) bourgeois society to their own devices, the liberal denies them true liberty. Any liberal campaign for equal rights is ultimately tainted by this problem (and more; a liberal will refuse to consider that he is only “liberating” the bourgeois section of his chosen Oppressed Demographic).
“But wait”, the liberal will scream, “you suggest that THE STATE do something about this?”
No. The liberal is also blind to the idea of unified struggle. He can phonebank, donate, fundraise,- yes, all this- but the liberal will never consider that just maybe a COLLECTIVE action by the oppressed is the only way forward. Even on the smallest levels, where anyone should be able to piece it together, the liberal fails. His suggestion, when workers face unfair wages and stipulations, might be that they should “find a better employer”. No one is PREVENTED from doing this, so the liberal assumes this is the magic incentive necessary to cease exploitation of workers. The liberal cannot consider that exploitation is demanded by the socio-economic structures he calls home.
A strike is alien to the liberal. Not only will he consider it harmful if those who are wronged do it, he will not understand why those who aren’t yet wronged will strike in solidarity. To the liberal, each worker is an island, unaffected by whatever is happening to That Other Guy, Over There. That each person working under another, who then benefits the most from their labour, is united in one struggle, is an incomprehensible subject to the liberal.
The liberal, lastly, but most importantly, believes that class structures are not necessarily harmful. He will speak of “social mobility”, the belief that, without state intervention, nothing prevents people from rising above the classes they were born, or put, into. People who fail are deemed “lazy”, and where the liberal stops to investigate the actual conditions a class struggles against, he will dismiss these as “unique cases”, which will be solved by entrepreneurial locals. Worse; the liberal may believe that the abolition of the class system will remove all incentive to work. That this is also his response to the claim that having to “earn a living” is abhuman says enough.
You may see “progressive” liberals sometimes. These include those people often called “liberals” in the United States. They may not believe some of the things I have mentioned here, but operate on the EXACT SAME PRINCIPLES. And this is clear: see their approach to gay rights, their continued lack of a unified message on the despicable union-busting in Wisconsin. Consider their labeling of criticism of the capitalist system as “extreme” or “fringe ideas”. These “progressives” are no different from the liberal I describe!

I am the ghost of a union member. I fought against injustice and I bled for your labour rights. If you cross the picket line I will fly into your kitchen tonight and make a mess of your pots and pans
I’ve discovered that Tumblr is basically completely useless for engaging people because it will force you to shit the same thing onto your page five times
Hate of Church and State: Feminism
Things you see feminists fight for
1. Social Equality
2. Equal rights
3. Equal Wages
Things…
Cool, I thought this was going to be a nice post about the problem of feminism without anti-capitalist characteristics, but nope, it’s just a ~huge bunch of bullshit~ instead. Read a few things, anticapitalist. I’m sure that then, you can come up with legitimate criticism of feminism as practiced by some of the (petit)-bourgeoisie
except the problem isn’t even as simple as lack of anti-capitalism, it’s lack of seeing even the most basic fucking patterns
tumblr feminism, or really tumblr faux-radicalism in general, is nothing but listing apparently unrelated issues that should be fixed through sectarian interest-group bullshit. the idea that there might be things that cause more than one problem is completely unheard of, unless those things are the existence of groups that they don’t like.
wait what the fuck when did i start sounding like a radical
I like you, tumblr user youfuckingpeoplemakemesick

capitalism’s take on “feminism” is: women should be allowed to have the power to exploit the working class & third world workers just as much as men should
which is stupid for obvious reasons
the most prominent of which being that it does nothing but further the oppression of women in the working class & third world, which if you’re ACTUALLY a feminist you give a fuck about because you want to uplift and liberate ALL your sisters
also! Capitalism requires a nuclear family and the unpaid labor of housewives to continue to function properly; it’s often seen where a woman is not only working outside of the home, she also goes home to do the work there, too. (this isn’t obvious in every case but it is the Capitalist Ideal.)
this is Important To Realize Y’all
“quite unhinged”
